McKinney TX - Bike the Bricks

by Christie Cannon

Le Tour de France McKinney – otherwise known as Bike the Bricks is coming Friday, May 23rd!

East to get to…, great food & drink….

For those who have not yet seen this race… it is for big prizes, super-fast paced & exciting (think 500+ racers & speeds in the 40mph range on a relatively short course)  - now if only they had an Adult Big-Wheel Race option.

Hope to see you there!

Frisco - Southeast Community Park Expansion!

by Christie Cannon

Frisco's Southeast Community Park, also known as Harold Bacchus Park (or the baseball park), has had the most recent round of expansion approved!  While last years Master Plan has not yet been fully realized (where are our sand volleyball courts!), the current expansion will offer additional acreage, extend the Taychas Trail (hike & bike) to the West Rowlett Creek Trail , create new ball fields, additional parking, playgrounds, & pavilions. Equally important - the new expansion will directly tie the community of Lawler Park (a favorite of mine!) to the massive park to the north.

Additional plans and information can be found clicking here!
